Summer Food Program at the School District of Beloit
With summer right around the corner, it’s time to think about keeping children healthy while school is out. The School District of Beloit has partnered with the U.S. Department of Agriculture to provide free meals to children during the summer. There are no income requirements and any child 18 and under may come to eat.
“The summer food service program is a federally-funded meal reimbursement program administered by the Department of Public Instruction. We have multiple sites in Beloit that serve free, nutritious meals to children age 18 and under with no income requirements or paperwork needed. Just stop by any of the sites during the dates and times listed to eat,” says Jenny Miller of the School District of Beloit.
There will be booths featuring our community partners, activities for the family, entertainment, raffle give-a-ways and FREE lunch. There will be booths featuring our community partners, activities for the family, entertainment, raffle give-a-ways and FREE lunch.
