Beloit Memorial Graduation Rates Continue To Improve
The BMHS 4-year graduation rate was 93.1% (increasing from the 2014 rate of 91.2%). Wisconsin’s graduation rate was 88.4% and the national graduation rate was 82.3%.
Other notable improvements include:
The African American graduation rate increased to 96.1% from 85.1% in 2014. The State graduation rate for African-Americans is 64.0%.
The Hispanic graduation rate increased to 91.1% from 90.7% in 2014. The State graduation rate for Hispanics is 77.5%.
The Economically Disadvantaged student graduation rate increased to 91.3% from 87.6% in 2014. The State graduation rate for this group is 77.3%.
Superintendent Dr. Tom Johnson notes, “I am pleased with the continued hard work of our staff and students to close achievement gaps and keep Beloit Memorial High School’s graduation rate at a high level. I credit diligent work with Response to Intervention, literacy and math initiatives, a relevant curriculum, and a strong work ethic to achieving these numbers.”
